CELEBRATE Good Times, Come On!!

Yesterday was 4 years since my mastectomy. I meant to write this yesterday but I FORGOT! How could I forget that? Feelin good and eatin chocolate and laughing my ass off just as the good lord intended.

The Velvet Touch

I just watched a 1948 movie called "The Velvet Touch" starring Rosalind Russell. First of all I adore Rosalind Russell even if she was just reading the dictionary outloud. Secondly this movie has it all; there's camp, over acting, humor, great double entendre, and smashing couture. The plot line is that Rosalind's character has accidentally killed a man but another woman get's blamed. I also did a google search on Rosalind Russell and found a quote attributed to her that I love. "Taking joy in life is a woman's best cosmetic."

Something Cheerful

I felt like it was time to move on from my sad blogs about death. One of my daughters was here on Saturday and we met at the DRUGSTORE named Starbucks with her friend and her friend's mom and hung out and laughed like hyenas. It was great. Her friend is getting married this summer so we were looking at a catalog of bridal gowns and GIRLY stuff. I am NOT a girly gal but I enjoy seeing pretty things just the same.
